2021.10.15 21:58 lily_healer Late 20's Transition
This may be odd to ask and maybe a little repeated but I was unable to find an answer or any research that was as direct as I was hoping.
Given that it will differ from person to person and one's given HRT regiment based one a number of variables, what should one expect typically expect/what are reasonable exceptions if one were to MtF transition in the 25 to 29 age range?

2021.10.15 21:58 NotoriousJester causing Failure to Promote Character Growth?
I'm running a game with some relatively new players (we've been playing this campaign for about 4 months now) and the party is making there way towards a part of the map where the barbarian's old enemy is stationed (for multiple reasons I cannot relocate this NPC). I expected the party to have grown some character-wise by this point, but they still haven't really gotten into roleplay and are about 1-2 steps above being murder hobos, which is fine with me, to an extent, but I don't really feel the barbarian has earned the right yet to defeat his enemy.
Ideally, I'd like to have them face-off once, have the barbarian lose the fight, and maybe even a limb. Have the party go and train, get the party some cool magic weapons and a new arm for the barbarian. Then face off against his enemy again, this time more well equipped and ready to face the challenge.
Is this even a good idea? If so what would be some ways you'd go about it? Thank you for the help!

2021.10.15 21:58 Durhamarama Save Our Shared Streets
Durham Shared Streets program kicked off last year with great success and is now coming to an abrupt end on 11/1.
If you’re a supporter of this program, please engage with the City, share your feedback, and maybe… just maybe we can all save our Shared Streets!
Dear Champions of Shared Streets in Durham,
During the COVID-19 pandemic many Durham residents have wanted to walk and bike for exercise, fresh air, and to pick up food and other essentials. In response, the City of Durham implemented the Shared Streets pilot project to provide safe travel and exercise options along seven streets (see https://durhamnc.gov/4069/Durham-Shared-Streets). After more than a year, the Shared Streets pilot project will be coming to an end on November 1, at which time the barricades along the seven Shared Streets will be removed. The traffic calming circles that were placed on Spruce, Taylor, and Benjamine streets as part of the pilot project will remain in place.
The Shared Streets pilot project provided City staff, residents, and community groups the opportunity to develop consensus and implement projects quickly. Several innovations from the Shared Streets project will likely be employed in other Durham neighborhoods, including neighborhood traffic calming circles, neighborhood art installations, and painted curb bulb outs. Overall, the Shared Streets pilot project has been very well received, though recently there has been an uptick in the number of requests from residents to remove the barricades. Going forward, the City is working to ensure that temporary installations like these are properly maintained with the support of neighborhood residents and that these “champions” can be compensated for their time and effort to keep Shared Streets safe and accessible.
The Durham Department of Transportation appreciates your engagement with the Shared Streets pilot project. Durham DOT staff will continue to support finding ways to work with residents to safely reimagine public spaces for people, recreation, and active forms of transportation. Five of the Shared Streets (Watts, Glendale, Spruce, Taylor, and Maple) have been designated as Neighborhood Bike Routes -- streets with low motorized traffic volumes and speeds, designated and designed to be comfortable streets for bicycling and other activities. Implementation of the Neighborhood Bike Routes is expected in 2022. More information is at https://durhamnc.gov/3763/Neighborhood-Bike-Routes
Please send any observations or suggestions regarding the Shared Streets pilot project to email@example.com.

2021.10.15 21:58 Mysta Wide/Large Slalom Inline Skates?
So I've done some searches and saw Seba's mentioned a few times for wide feet, I wear a 14 shoe size and was looking to get into inline skating again as I enjoyed it a lot as a kid. I tend to just go right into the mid-tiehigh-tier stuff so I don't have to re-purchase later. I did try out some old skates to make sure I'm not awful and most of it kind of returned natural to me. No pro by any means but will probably avoid grinding/etc and stick to mostly just skating with the flow/light slalom type stuff. So mostly just seeing if Seba are still the go to and if so which ones, and are there any 'new' designs out or coming very soon. Thanks!!
